Creating a Site

Creating a website within dotCommunity is designed to be as simple as possible.

The process consists of making the service aware of your contact details and optionally some preferences, and then providing the details needed to construct your site.

When creating a website be aware that to maintain the high quality of the service your application for a site must be approved by a service administrator, however, this does not usually take very long. More specifically:

Creating a community website is a three step process:-

  1. Registering as a user with the service.
  2. Filling out the online application form.
  3. Waiting for your application approval email and accessing your new site.

If you are already a registered user then you do not need to re-register and can skip straight to step two.
