When else do you contact the Police?
Since Sir Robert Peel they have long been the first contact point for help. However, this doesn't need to be only when it's an emergency and today's Police also have a strong drive to be involved with the local community on a frequent basis. The modern force looks not only to provide information and service, but is keen to engage with, and learn from, the community to better understand it's needs. Dialogue is essential, and unfortunately the occasional meeting in the village hall won't deliver this.
